The original idea for my daughter’s birthday cake this year was definitely not mine…please look at  However, the hours of labor were definitely mine.  Those squares were a doozy and I recommend using Jessica Harris’ wax paper transfer method for this or you’ll spend all day trying to attach them.


I used modeling chocolate for all the figures except for the creeper which explains its slight lean.  Its so hard to get fondant figures to set firmly in place even with tylose.


I started out making the cubes for all the figures by trying to shape them with two fondant smoothers but ended up using this technique from Michelle Rea instead.  This saved a lot of time and gave me better results.
